Newsletter, February 2026

February was a big month for Guild of Guardians with the launch of Season 7: Stellar Revelations on February 25th. More than a seasonal refresh, this update brought together several major systems that have been building behind the scenes — expanding progression, strengthening long-term utility, and sharpening seasonal identity across the game.
Alongside Season 7, we introduced Gruff’s Vault in-game, bringing gGoG locking and seasonal reward tiers into the core experience. The Rarity Upgrade System went live, with Gwynn leading the way as the first Guardian to evolve under the new system. We also rolled out the updated Growth Rate system, designed to renew the relevance of existing Guardians and improve clarity around scaling.
February was about delivering layered progression — and setting a stronger foundation for how seasons, rewards, and Guardian become more meaningful across all players.
Season 7: Stellar Revelations

Season 7: Stellar Revelations, running from February 25 to March 25, brought a rich set of seasonal content layers for players to dive into. This season introduced new progression opportunities, competitive events, and expanded pathways for Guardians you already own.
At its core, Stellar Revelations features a suite of seasonal events and challenges across Arena, PvE, and guild play, each offering exclusive rewards. Players can test their roster and climb seasonal leaderboards through events like Call of Gwynn, Displacement Special Event, Call of Jadey, and the Terra Special Event — all designed to reward performance and engagement throughout the month.
This season also puts a spotlight on competitive progression with Guild Arena Supremacy, a guild-focused leaderboard event offering exclusive titles for top-performing teams, and Valor Season 7, running alongside the main seasonal events for players who meet the progression thresholds for endgame challenges.
Rarity Upgrade System & Gwynn

Season 7 also introduced a significant expansion of Guardian progression with the rollout of the Rarity Upgrade System — a new way for players to elevate their existing Guardians beyond standard growth paths and deepen roster investment.
At the heart of this system is the Legendary Potion of Awakening, a rare seasonal item that allows any Epic Guardian to ascend into Legendary rarity, unlocking greater growth potential and new capabilities. This introduces a deeper layer of progression for players who have pushed their Guardians to the limits of their current tier.
Gwynn is the first Guardian featured in this new upgrade path, meaning she becomes eligible to ascend from Epic to Legendary using the Legendary Potion. Upon reaching Legendary rarity, Gwynn gains access to expanded progression and an additional Legendary-only skill that fundamentally enhances her combat presence.
In Gwynn’s case, this new ability — Frost Curse — triggers after she pulls enemies toward her, unleashing a chilling wave that affects nearby foes and limits their ability to recover health. This not only reinforces her role as a frontline disruptor but also gives players a tangible performance upgrade to strive for with a Guardian they may already be invested in.
The Rarity Upgrade System lays the groundwork for future progression paths that extend beyond traditional seasonal rewards — giving players meaningful choices about how they grow their favourite Guardians over time.
Growth Rate Update: A Stronger Scaling Foundation
Season 7 didn’t just add new progression paths — it also refined how Guardians grow across rarities with a major update to the Growth Rate system.
Previously, Guardians of different rarities started with different growth values, resulting in inconsistent scaling as players progressed their roster. With the Rarity Growth Rate Unification now live, Rare, Epic, and Legendary Guardians all share a common base growth curve. This means that as Guardians level and evolve, they grow in a more predictable and consistent way — making progression feel smoother and more intuitive across your roster.
Importantly, rarity still matters. Higher-rarity Guardians retain their distinction through:
- Expanded skill sets
- Longer progression paths
- Greater long-term upgrade potential
By unifying growth fundamentals while preserving rarity value, this update strengthens the long-term meaning of Guardian investment. Rather than raw stat disparities early on, Legendary Guardians now grow into their power over time, and Rare and Epic Guardians benefit from clearer progression expectations.
This foundation helps support both existing roster depth and future systems — with the goal of making all Guardians feel increasingly relevant as you level them up and compete throughout the season.

Supporting System Refinement
While Season 7 took centre stage, February also saw continued refinement across several core systems that shape how players progress and engage over time.
Class Skills moved further along in polish and tuning this month, bringing each class’s identity closer to the point where players will be able to experience skill-based differentiation in a new way. The north star when designing class skills is focused on enhancing variety without overwhelming complexity.

At the same time, progress continued on the AFK experience. With the core mechanics now locked in and major blockers addressed, this system is nearing readiness to enter players’ hands in future releases. The focus throughout has been on making early progression smoother and more rewarding, so newer players and veterans alike feel a stronger sense of forward momentum even when they’re not playing.

Visual & Combat Polish

Alongside the major systems delivered in February, the team continued to invest in visual fidelity and combat feel to make Guild of Guardians more immersive from the moment you jump in.
Work also progressed on Guardian’s Ultimate VFXs, particularly for early-game Guardians like Ferulia and Yamar. As these effects move through dynamic mockups, the aim is to elevate both clarity and impact in combat — so that when an Ultimate ability lands, it feels visually distinct and rewarding for players of all experience levels.

These visual improvements build on the momentum of Season 7’s launch, enhancing readability and spectacle across PvE and competitive modes. By layering polish into both seasonal cosmetics and combat feedback, we’re working to make every encounter — from your first match of the day to your top leaderboard push — feel more engaging and intentional.
What’s next?

With the major systems of Season 7 now live, the team’s focus is turning toward the next wave of experiences that will continue to broaden how you engage with Guild of Guardians.
We're making great strides towards the long awaited Guild vs Guild mode. A territory control style PvP mode where up to four Guilds battle it out to see who's best. Internal playtests for the mode are starting next week and we hope to be able to share more info soon!
