Introducing Gruff's gGoG Seasonal Rewards
Gruffs Vault is coming in-game
Commanders,
Gruff is expanding into the game — bringing a new way to lock/lock gGoG, earn passive rewards, and unlock access to exclusive, high-value items over time.
This is the first rollout of Gruffs in-game, focused on introducing core staking, rewards, and perks in a way that’s easy to understand and rewarding to participate in. More improvements and features will follow, shaped by player feedback.
What is Gruffs Vault in-game?

Gruffs in-game gives players the option to lock their gGoG in return for rewards over a season.
By locking gGoG, players:
- Earn passive rewards simply for holding;
- Unlock exclusive perks that can be purchased with gGoG; and
- Gain access to rewards and items that aren’t available through normal play
Gruffs in-game is an active choice — you decide how much gGoG you want to lock in order to access a specific tier of rewards.
What are the main features in this release?
Locking gGoG in-game

Gruffs uses a tier-based system. Each tier requires locking a minimum amount of gGoG, with higher tiers unlocking greater rewards and more exclusive perks.
Once you lock:
- Your gGoG is locked and not usable for the duration of the season
- Your tier determines which passive rewards and perks you can access
Passive rewards for holding
Passive rewards are earned simply by locking enough gGoG throughout the season.
- No spending required
- Rewards stack — higher tiers receive all lower-tier passives
- Passive rewards are delivered at the end of each season
Perks you can unlock and purchase

Perks are exclusive items unlocked by reaching a tier.
- Perks are purchasable with gGoG only
- Once unlocked, they can be purchased immediately upon a season starting
- Perks are optional — you choose whether to purchase these or not
Season-based structure
Each Gruffs season runs for 5 weeks:
- Weeks 1–4: Active Season
- locked gGoG is locked. Your locked amount determines the tier of passive rewards you are eligible for.
- Unlocked perks are available to purchase
- locked gGoG is locked. Your locked amount determines the tier of passive rewards you are eligible for.
- Week 5: Rest Week
- Players receive their passive rewards for the season.
- Players lock gGoG to lock in tiers for the next season
Note that gGoG top-ups are not currently supporting beyond the rest week.
Passive rewards are granted at the end of the season, while perks are available as soon as the next season starts.
Season 1 “Rest Week” will start on the 18th of February, and the active season begins on the 25th of February 2026 through to the 25th of March 2026.
How can I access Gruffs?

Gruffs will be available directly in-game.
- Look for Gruffs under Events, or on the Haven banners
- From there, you can:
- View tiers and rewards
- lock your gGoG
- Track your progress through the season
- View tiers and rewards

How does this impact me as a player?
If you earn or hold gGoG
Gruffs gives your gGoG ongoing value beyond spending. Locking now unlocks rewards, perks, and progression over time — not just one-off purchases.
If you care about progression and competition
Passive rewards include resources that support long-term growth, while perks offer access to high-impact items that can meaningfully support your gameplay goals.
If you enjoy exclusivity and collection
Higher tiers unlock rare and exclusive items designed for committed players — rewards that reflect long-term participation, not just luck.
What to keep in mind
- Locked gGoG can’t be used during the active weeks of a season
- You’ll need have sufficient gGoG for passives rewards, as well as to purchase perks
- Staking decisions matter — plan ahead for each season
- If your wallet balance drops below your pledged amount at any point during the season, your pledge will be cancelled and no rewards will be paid out for that cycle
Web Gruffs & In-Game Gruffs Alignment
Web Gruffs seasons are now aligned with in-game Gruffs

As Gruffs launches in-game, we’re aligning Gruff’s epochs and seasons to create a more consistent and predictable experience across both environments.
Going forward, both web and in-game Gruffs will follow the same 5-week season cadence, making it easier to understand timing, rewards, and progression no matter where you participate.
Your gGoG and $GOG can both count toward Gruff's web epoch rewards — but only once you've completed the Pledge step on Gruff's Vault web. Rewards are calculated based on your pledged amount only. Holdings that haven't been pledged will not be counted.
To pledge:
- Visit Gruff's Vault at https://www.gog.community/portal/gruff-vault
- Press PLEDGE
- Enter your total pledge amount — this should be the combined total of both your $GOG and gGoG holdings that you want counted toward rewards
Once your pledge is confirmed, this means:
- Your total pledged amount ($GOG + gGoG) counts toward web epoch rewards
- Your locked gGoG amount determines your in-game tier of rewards
- Rewards are calculated on a time-weighted basis across the season
Important: If your wallet balance drops below the amount you've pledged, your pledge will be cancelled and no rewards will be paid out to you at the end of that cycle. Make sure your balance stays at or above your pledged amount throughout the season.
What’s changing?
- Season length:
Web Gruffs seasons now run for 5 weeks, matching in-game Gruffs. - Reward distribution:
Web staking rewards are still earned across the full season, but are now distributed over the first 4 weeks.
This allows the final week to act as a rest week, aligned with in-game Gruffs. - Rest week (pro-rated):
The final week of each season is a rest week, where rewards are effectively pro-rated to account for the adjusted distribution timing. - Rewards remain the same:
The reward rates and totals do not change.
Only the epoch / season duration has been adjusted to fit the shared seasonal structure. You can also check your in-game gGoG staking via Gruffs Vault on a web browser.

This is just the beginning
