Inside Every Season: How Guild of Guardians Keeps the Chase Going
Every season in Guild of Guardians runs on the same five-week rhythm — banners, events, and modes moving on their own schedule, building toward a breather before the next one begins. Here's how it all fits together.
The Season Calendar at a Glance
Weeks 1 through 4 are active. Week 5 is a breather before the next season begins.
| Week | What's Happening |
|---|---|
| Week 1 | Featured banners open · Season Pass live · first Summon Shop lineup |
| Week 2 | Thorit Wheel appears · Guild Wars opens |
| Week 3 | Summon Shop swaps to its second lineup |
| Week 4 | Fayre Event · second Thorit Wheel · Guild Wars continues |
| Week 5 (Rest Week) | No featured banner Guardian — time to regroup before the next season |
The same five-week shape, every season. Underneath that top-level structure, a set of always-on modes — Endless, Endless Rush, Boss Rush, both Arenas, and Guild Boss — rotate weekly all season long, so there's fresh content even in the weeks between the bigger events.
Chasing Guardians: Calling Crystal & Summon Stone
Two banners run every season: Calling Crystal, which features Guardians from our original roster, and Summon Stone, which features our Core roster. Each week, a different Guardian takes the spotlight on each banner with noticeably better odds than the rest of the field — so if you're building toward a specific Guardian, timing your summons to their featured week is the move. Both banners pause during Rest Week, clearing the stage before the next rotation begins.
Fueling Your Growth: The Season Pass
The Season Pass runs the length of the season on two tracks — a free track everyone gets, and an Elite Bundle track for Commanders who unlock it. Both tracks pay out real progress tier by tier: Commander EXP, Gold, upgrade materials, and more. The free track alone is worth playing for — no purchase required to climb it — and the Elite Bundle layers in bigger quantities and a few extras on top.
Weekly Refreshes: Thorit Wheel, Summon Shop & Esoteric Tome Shop
Thorit Wheel shows up twice a season — Week 2 and Week 4 — with a fresh set of prizes to work toward. You'll pick up a solid share of what you need just by playing, with more available if you want to speed things up. Summon Shop swaps its whole lineup partway through the season, so the first half and second half each bring something different to plan around. Esoteric Tome Shop is the one constant — same lineup, all season — so it's always there when you need it.
The Big Event: Fayre Event
Fayre Event runs in Week 4 and turns into a season highlight — a leaderboard chase where you earn Fayre Coins through everyday play: dungeon clears, training resources you're already collecting, and more. No purchase is required to earn coins and rank. When the event closes, the top of the leaderboard walks away with standout prizes.
Core PvE: Endless, Endless Rush & Boss Rush
These three modes rotate on a weekly cycle all season, each opening a new route or boss lineup every week and alternating between competitive and casual weeks. Rewards scale by Commander level range, so there's a real prize whether you're just getting started or fully built out — you're not chasing the same bar as a maxed-out roster.
Prove Your Squad: 5v5 & 15v15 Arena
Both Arenas rotate battle modifiers on a weekly basis, so the team comp that wins this week might not be the one that wins next week — keeping the meta moving and rewarding Commanders who adapt. Casual and competitive weeks alternate, with leaderboard rewards for those who climb.
Guild Content: Guild Wars & Guild Boss
Guild Wars runs Weeks 2 through 4, pitting guilds against each other across a rotating set of war maps. Guild Boss runs the entire season, giving your guild a recurring target to take down together, week after week.
Long-Term Power: Valor
Valor is where seasons start paying off for Commanders who've put in the time — once you hit the Commander and Crystal Level thresholds, it unlocks stacking combat bonuses across categories like piercing, defense-break, skill damage, and attack speed, plus its own Valor Pass. It's the reward for everything you've built up to that point.
Gruff's Vault: Put Your gGoG to Work
Gruff's Vault is an optional feature that rewards Commanders who lock gGoG — GoG's in-game currency, obtained by converting $GOG — for the season. In exchange, you'll earn passive rewards and unlock exclusive perks, including rotating cosmetic sets to make your profile your own. It's entirely optional, and you can find it in-game any time you want to put your gGoG to work.
